Once upon a time, I took a few pictures for work. Then I took too many pictures of my kids. Then one day, this adorable couple hired me for one of my first paid projects, their courthouse wedding. We scurried around this new and simple building, desperate for anything that resembled character, and I soon realized that it didn’t matter where someone gets married. It can be simple, regal, elaborate or in THE WORST and ugliest courthouse ever, it doesn’t matter. The significance is in the glances of the ‘soon to be married’. The beauty is in the innocence of the bride, and the genuine heart of a groom. The heart can be found in the commitment being made before God and friends, with or without a gorgeous backdrop.
